Golden Dragon Museum
Friday 3rd April & Saturday 4th April: 9.30am to 5:00pm
Sunday 5th April: 9:30am to 11:30am

Visit the Golden Dragon Museum and discover the largest and most significant collection of Chinese heritage and cultural material in Australia. Central to the 30,000 objects in the collection is three generations of Imperial Processional Dragons and their regalia, Loong, Sun Loong and Dai Gum Loong.

Awakening Of The Dragon*
Saturday 4th April: 11:00am to 4:00pm
A traditional celebration of lion and dragon dance, including contemporary elements presented by the Bendigo Chinese Association and visiting lion teams. Concluding with the lighting of 100,000 firecrackers, used to wake Dai Gum Loong from his slumber in preparation for his appearance in the Sherridon Homes Gala Parade. Return Of The Dragon
Sunday 5th April
Approximately 2:30pm – at the conclusion of the Sherridon Homes Gala Parade
The Bendigo Chinese Association Lion Team will combine with visiting lion and dragon teams to welcome Dai Gum Loong on his return to the Golden Dragon Museum. A great spectacle of noise, colour and movement.

Children’s Dragon Making Workshop
Monday 6th April: 10:00am to 3:00pm
Visit the Yi Yuan Gardens to get creative and make your own dragon.
